Awakening Minds is a specialist Punjabi wellbeing service, supporting the community with safe spaces, listening services, training, and activities that promote mental health awareness and resilience. We are not a clinical counselling provider — instead, we offer community-based wellbeing support and signposting.
We provide wellbeing and listening support, not clinical counselling. Our approach recognises the importance of intersectionality — understanding that people’s experiences of health, wellbeing and inequality are shaped by overlapping factors such as culture, faith, gender, age and socio-economic background.
Our services include:
Accredited Mental Health First Aid Training
Peer Support Groups
Community Wellbeing Activities
We are proud to have bilingual staff and volunteers, ensuring people can express themselves in the language they feel most comfortable with. Where specialist counselling or therapy is required, we signpost to trusted professional services such as NHS Talking Therapies and local partners.
